Rebecca Matchette, DVM
Dr. Matchette is an Arizona native. She graduated cum laude from Arizona State University in 1996. Then she attended veterinary school at Colorado State University and graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2000. Rebecca (or you can call her Becky) then returned home to Arizona to practice. Rebecca always knew she was interested in the medical field so it was only natural for her to pursue veterinary medicine. She grew up around veterinary medicine as her father, uncle and many family friends are veterinarians. She is also very familiar with Kaibab Animal Hospital since she started working here in 1994 while she was fulfilling her pre-veterinary school requirements at ASU and on her breaks during veterinary school. In 2005, Dr. Matchette returned to Kaibab Animal Hospital and she feels very privileged to be a part of such a quality team. Her strong interests are in preventative medicine, educating pet owners and strengthening the human-animal bond.
Lisa Brigden, DVM
Lisa Brigden (formerly Raczkowski) was raised in Tucson, Arizona and received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona in 2002. She then attended Colorado State University and received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. After graduation, she completed a rigorous year-long internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona in Mesa. She joined Kaibab's team of doctors in the fall of 2008. Her professional interests include small animal medicine, dentistry, ultrasonography, preventative medicine, and the human-animal bond. Dr. Brigden loves all animals, but especially big labradors. She lives in Phoenix with her husband, also Dr. Brigden, who is a veterinary dental specialist, and her two adorable dogs, Jake, a chocolate lab and George, a black lab.
